WynkieSMS Consent

SMS Appointment Reminders

This page documents how Wynkie collects SMS opt-in consent from clients during the appointment booking process.

How clients opt in

When a client books an appointment through a stylist's Wynkie booking page (e.g. wynkie.com/[stylist-name]), they are shown the following consent checkbox on the client information step. The checkbox is unchecked by default and is never required to complete the booking. Consent is entirely voluntary.

As shown to clients during booking

Consent is recorded per booking. Only clients who check this box will receive SMS messages. The phone number entered by the client on the same step is the number used for messaging.

Types of messages sent

All messages are transactional and directly related to the client's appointment. No marketing messages are sent.

  • Appointment booking confirmation
  • 24-hour appointment reminder
  • Appointment cancellation notice
  • Appointment reschedule confirmation
  • Rebooking prompt after a completed appointment

Sample message

Hi Sarah, this is a reminder that you have an appointment tomorrow at 2:00 PM. To reschedule or cancel, visit: wynkie.com/cancel/abc123. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help.

Opting out

Clients can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message. They will receive a confirmation and no further messages will be sent. Clients can reply START to re-subscribe or HELP for support information.

Sender information

Messages are sent from a single Wynkie toll-free number on behalf of the stylist the client booked with. The stylist's name is included in every message so clients know which appointment the message refers to.
